We have found that, as well as working really well and having great results in community settings, sessions also work well in early years settings, particularly for toddlers and pre-schoolers. 

 

You don't need to provide anything as we bring all instruments and props along and practitioners are not only qualified in music, performance and working within the EYFS but also all hold current DBS checked and have safeguarding training. 

 

Mini Maestros Music shares an approach to learning that is in line with the EYFS which is the statutory framework for children from 0-5 years.  The classes take a more holistic approach and while the session are adult-led, they are child-responsive meaning that tutors are always watching and responding to your child’s musical intentions.   

At Mini Maestros Music, we agree with the EYFS framework that every child is unique and work hard to ensure that we create a welcoming session that is in tune with each child’s needs which encourages them to build their learning over time. While the sessions are largely adult-led, they are child-responsive and there is an element of free time in each class in which I use my experience and expertise to connect with each child and build on their individual musical skills and needs. In addition, I can also help to give staff a toolkit to help them engage with and include musical activities on a more regular basis throughout the day.
